Closest thing that comes to mind immediately was that time when Manchin ended up agreeing to a deal to pass the Inflation Reduction Act after Republicans let CHIPS through. Of course Manchin himself later tried to fuck up the IRA, but it was very funny to see GOP anger, and we need more of it.

In reality, Democrats have a different 'worldview'. Taking a Republican stance on any issue won't help the Democrat project succeed; it would only offer more Republican policy.
