I’m trying to stay positive in my interactions with my cat, but I’m scared he won’t make it from a particularly bad cat bite. It’s hard not to cry in front of him when I’m this worried, but I’m doing it. 😞

I think I saw the cat who hurt him. Last night I heard another loud cat fight and made noise/a distraction by opening the door which gave the victim a chance to run away. It’s a huge cat and it strutted slowly away looking predatory.

If you ever hear a cat fight make some loud noise like a clap or yell or something which usually ends it. One of them will run off.

Slick was sitting on the kitchen counter this morning and had pulled back the curtain—clearly he was looking for his buddy Gizmo and wanted out. Not happening. Positive signs though! Energy returning.

Last night we had a literal heart-to-heart moment where Slick could feel mine and I could feel his while he was atop of me while watching Big Bang Theory. I had a little love chat/pep talk with him. He started to improve after that and started sitting up. Maybe some slight laughter helped too.

A little while ago he drank a whole bowl of water and perkier. Now getting more mandatory sleep. Positive signs as his puncture wound heals. Medicine working. It was seriously dicey for a couple of days. Positivity helps everyone.
