Please admire my thrifting find. I have been looking for one of these for the better part of a year.

It’s beautiful. I loved the weight of the receiver on those things

It's even got an old Bell System logo on it! Great find.

If the current national trends continue we’ll be back to using rotary dial phones in just a few years

I won't lie - having a working landline will probably come in handy very soon.

One ringy dingy
Two ringy dingy
I think of Lilly Tomlin’s character Ernestine (telephone operator) when I see this phone.

Nice. Just like the one my grandmother had until AT&T (formally Illinois Bell) stopped supporting pulse dialing on their lines in the early 2000’s.

Oh man! That brings back memories. My old church had one and when my bff first moved to our (tiny) town from the city she tried to call her parents and couldn’t figure out how to use it. This was 2000 and we were 13.

I'm going to do it therapeutically when I'm mad.

It's the slam followed by the bell slightly ringing in sympathy that makes it such a satisfying release.

Since you're clearly expecting a call from the 80s, can you ask them of I can have my hair back?

Nice find 👍🏽 those are rare antiques now, the wife bought 2 a while back. We used one as a house phone for a year. 😁
