It's always bloody wet in Wales! In a former Army life, trudging around Brecon and Sennybridge whilst soaking wet was, shall we say: "character building".
I spent two weeks in Dyfed one summer. It rained every single day. It didn't pour it just drizzled for some time each day. As I was on an archaeological dig, that was actually pretty handy. Kept the soil moist.
It was. We were working on an an early 19th century cottage and I got to blow one of the project lead’s pet theories out of the water with a single find. He maintained that this group didn’t smoke as a matter of religion and I came up with a pipe stem fragment.
I wish I had the resources to take images like this, maybe sometime in the next 4 years once I actually have some money saved up I can get the equipment to build the skills
Lovely photo! I had the pleasure of visiting Wales for the first time last year, and this brings back memories from that trip. Trudging up beautiful, hilly city scapes in the rain.
I am wet in the walkabout town. Give me a shot of that luck Irish whiskey & I shall be warmer in due. Join me in drink of that warm amber savior & we shall be thrilled to be here.
