If that is the case everyone clearly seems to think they are beyond minutes with Crew2.

They need game minutes; should they be loaned?

We talked about this on exact thing on our podcast we just recorded yesterday. I don't understand bringing up these homegrowns to first team contracts, taking them away from Crew2 minutes, if we aren't going to use them at all.

I very much dislike the thought that the international evaluation is they could use more minutes at a lower level but we can’t afford to do that just because we need bodies. Hindering development because of this roster build wouldn’t be great.

I don't understand how they aren't seeing more minutes considering some of the guys are lacking end product. I'm all for giving guys time to settle in, but Chambost, Jackson, and Zawadzki have not put in the best performances to start the season. Why not see what Habroune and Mrowka can do?

They were most likely going to loan them both out but can’t now because we have a roster log jam with the international spots being like gold now.

Great questions. In 2023 we had Patrick, Mo, and JRR all starting or getting significant minutes coming straight from the Capys. Maybe that was because expectations were lower then, but we have gotten very few Capy minutes since then. Again, Issa knew who was ready long ago and didn’t plan.

I think at that point Patrick and Mo were just ready for the next level and JRR compeltely proved he was above the MLS Next Pro level. I'm not sure Mrowka and Habroune were levels above in their Crew2 performances though. Maybe they were brought up prematurely?

It’s almost a little odd Corey Wray set Crew2 up to be the most talented and pro-ready team in the league. It certainly created a winning culture and produced players for the first team.

Now the academy is almost playing age groups down; not necessarily bad but very different.

Habroune might start getting minutes because you need someone creative in the midfield. I’m thinking that’s why he put him in for LAFC to maybe spark a goal.

If Habroune could get minutes in midfield and show something and Mrowka could get minutes in the attack and show something. I’m not saying I would have no concerns but I would feel better about our depth.
