If you are using Ubuntu, let's make a deal... you keep using Ubuntu and brewing the coffee the way you are and I will keep using Arch and brewing coffee with those crappy machines XD. Nobody needs to know ;-)
To be fair: Quite a lot changed over the years. When I first installed Linux on my PC it was a ton of tinkering to get half the stuff working.
This summer I switched my Laptop von W11 to Mint and was almost disappointed about the lack of configuration required. Planned a day, took an hour.
Sure it depends what you want to do and the hardware involved but I agree it's waaaaay easier than back in the days, especially on Ubuntu-based distros
My most common issues with recent Linux are stuff broken by updates (printer has to be re-added, some preferences are reset, there's a bug with tumbnails,
...). Which has always happened btw and it does happen less these days
For the positive note: bluetooth has 0 issues for me whereas it was an utter disaster in the past for various reasons (some not their fault but more which audio mixer/server is there and weird firmware quirks)
