Until it stops working because the requirements are enforced by windows itself, or binaries are compiled using instructions not present in older processors (e.g. POPCNT).

Rufus patching is an OK workaround for now, but it isn't a generally applicable solution.

Ventoy > Rufus. Just create a Ventoy drive and simply copy-paste any/all the ISOs you're interested in. No more reformatting. Try out ALL the Linux distros you want. Heck, maybe even have a backup of your Windows install as VHD file.

One USB to rule them all.

There are tons of free guides online. Most of which are more aimed at Programmers and those in the IT industry. If all you do is surf the web, you don't need all that. I'd just suggest trying in a virtual machine before making the switch.
