I think I understand what they mean, it’s not soulless like AI generated garbage images are but the style change almost looks like how when the AI incorrectly changes little details from the original that it’s pulling from. It looks fine in motion.

I'm not really For or Against AI myself but I for one love the style

and I do agree it sorta has the AI look but I don't mind that much bc its way better than the original designs

Though I do also agree animators shouldn't be compared with ai
