people who openly oppose your political goals, you can probably ignore. but he's got a lot of people in the "we were all rooting for you" category, and he seems to think the problem is a lack of talking instead of a lack of listening

every mayor has a hard line to walk, you can't treat people like o'reilly as an honest broker but you still need to work with him on all kinds of projects. daley & rahm had more or less full control and could do what they want both for better and for worse

the analogy that he seems issuing is to compare himself to Jesus which is an escalation from his previous comparisons of himself to Harold Washington and Barack Obama
