There is no ceasefire if one side continues firing. Bluntly, Israelis are paranoid about security & absent the need to placate American sensibilities might take the opportunity to clear Gaza & the West Bank. Maybe, you're willing to bet Palestinian lives on Israel folding. I'm not.
