It was a challenge to hold space for the level of complexity and nuance I felt this conversation required. I hope I succeeded. It was important to me not to invalidate differing experiences or downplay anything harmful. These discussions have historically been a minefield. Please be kind ya'll 🫂

I did my best to approach it from a place of love and appreciation for both spaces. At the end of the day, we're all weirdos and there's a kind of solidarity to be found in that. Keep in mind I'm just one person and could only share based on my own experiences, which are limited in their scope 🫡

I really enjoyed interviewing you! As I said to you, when we started and you were so anxious I was ready to call the interview in the first five minutes, but I loved that you felt comfortable to come that far out of your shell for me.
