Please explain to me in small words how you keep cilantro from bolting every thirty seconds? I’ve tried so many times and it’s good for, like, a week, and then it’s constant stupid little white flowers and gaunt little leaves. 😡
Well, right now it’s the middle of winter and this is cilantro in my greenhouse that I started in mid fall. I can’t keep it from bolting past June usually. But last summer I started some basically in the shade. And it’s a slow bolt variety.
Hm, I may try that. Then again, I eat cilantro like a horse does alfalfa, so I worry that the rate of consumption wouldn’t justify the effort. But god, if I could make it work??? 🤔
Try starting your plants/seeds in different dated pots, maybe one each month? Also, snip off and freeze what you're not using right away in a ziploc bag with enough cold water to cover to pop into your soups, stews, casseroles...
I never liked guacamole until I had it unmashed or unblended. The restaurant just mixed the chopped, diced and minced bits together and called it "Live Guacamole". Now I'm addicted!
