NPR CEO Katherine Maher says she regrets her years-old tweets calling Trump a fascist and a deranged racist: "I regret those tweets, I wouldn't tweet them against today. They represented a time when I was reflecting on something that the president had said rather than who he is."

In the absence of explicit censorship through martial law, the Fourth Estate is the last bulwark against dictatorship. NPR Maher's kowtowing this morning was a shameful reminder of how successful Trusk has been in terrifying print media (Washington Post), TV channels (ABC) and now radio. A disgrace!
