There will always be corruption no matter the system, and socialism will make it too easy for a few to screw the system. That's why I say capitalism isn't the answer either, same problem. There's needs to be something in the middle. Too many just want their side to win. - ThreadSky

Capitalism has already won. The only people who live under socialism are the super-rich. Literally every sector of the UK has been taken over by private companies which is why it is so dysfunctional. Many many hospitals have been privatized and only appear to be public.

I certainly hope so. Else we’re in big trouble. But the whole discourse that there is active socialist opposition in the UK or the US just isn’t the case. There are people fighting capitalist monopolization—Bernie Sanders and Jeremy Corbin for example—but both have been sabotaged by their parties

100%. Makes me weep with anger and rage. But that’s the point, surely; when the NHS is gone and people are forced to sell their properties for medical care, they’ll fight back properly
