Today is the birthday of my maternal great-uncle, John Q. DuBlanc, Jr. (d. 2005). He contracted polio when young, suffered from disability his entire life, and never married. He was a kind and patient gentleman, and I remember him and seethe at anti-vaccination propaganda.
