His book, The High Cost of Free Parking, is an eye opener. Owning a car is a big capital expense. Bc you own a car, others must provide 5 1/2 parking spaces by law costing more than your car. Of course nothing is free. We all pay but most of all by not having nice beautiful and walkable cities.
