In the UK dogs go into libraries. Children who stammer or are shy or for whatever reason hate reading out loud read 1 on 1 to a dog. The dog listens and does not judge. I thought this was a fever dream but here it is https://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/about-us/charity-work/bark-and-read/
