if you balance your mmorpg correctly the tank/healer should have the same dynamic as an overeager masochistic sub frenzying, and the firstaid-trained domme trying desperately to keep her from killing herself

a dynamic of a a tool & user. but instead of the handler not giving a shit about the pilot & leaving them to succeed or die to prove their worth, the handler treats the pilot like a carefully constructed & valuable tool they want to maintain even thru the messy jobs that might break it
ppl that talk about hounds and handlers who sound like they've never seen a real hunter bond. and assume it's all bass pro shop mossyoak dipshits kicking their dogs when they can't hit a dear 5 yards out with 25 rounds
see this is why i think i'm more technician than handler coded despite my posting. despite my best efforts (and my suppressed sadism) i'm always gonna end up leaning into somewhat wholesome. i just get too attached to anything i like to be totally apathetic about it and treat it as disposable
you can tell an mmo doesn't have what it takes if they can't accurately replicate the experience in a dungeon/raid of trying to keep your enthusiastic sub from giving themselves an infection and/or concussion
