This is the best form of resistance. Those oligarchs heavily depend on consumers of interchangeable (luxury) goods. The tech billionaires do not own oil, state or weapon companies and it is so easy to not use their social media, to not buy their cars or to not subscribe for their news
People keep saying, they have so much money, it won't matter. But it does matter. They want more, otherwise they'd be retired. Also, Wall Street demands *growth*. We just have to impact them enough to impede *growth*, and Wall Street gets upset, stock price plummets, and we win.
I did that months ago. I’m still keeping FB to keep track of old friends, new friends, family who are all over the world, and former students and families. Most of the people I wanted to follow on FB are no longer there.
I closed INSTA but still in the long goodbye phase of FB where everyone still resides. I tried getting all my data but it was insufficient. I experienced some weird things in the early days of FB. Then I had a h—-r. Then politics messed it all up.
I am suspended from commenting EVERY OTHER WEEK because in JULY I said something kind of mean about MTG. Took it down the next day but EVERY OTHER WEEK I am suspended. Screw that.
