Civil servant source says DOGE has made agencies much less efficient: "Work has ground down to a stunning degree and management is spending a significant amount of time responding & preparing to respond to the chaos incited by the never ending barrage of EOs & accompanying memos"

This follows the usual GOP tactic of saying government is inefficient; disrupting everything to do with governing; blocking any legislation they don't like; corrupting all processes; and then using the conditions THEY created as evidence to prove that government is inefficient.

DOGE is acting without clear requirements across a diverse set of departments serving 300 million people without input from customers and users while delivering an untested solution with the assumption they can just roll out updates to fix their errors. The US government isn’t a software project.

It is because Elon is an incompetent conman. He has never invented or designed anything himself, can't run a company on his own (eg X). He can foo investors though but and has zero empathy or morals.
His lies about saving $ with DOGE is classic deception and fraud.
