The game is loosely based on a 1906 card game called Touring, which has been replicated a few times, including in the game Milles Bornes, which became super popular in the 1950s and is still popular today. Also, I want to emphasize that the game is crazy fun. Sometimes I feel like people think the games we produce are designed to be "educational" and therefore that can make them boring. While I don't think that's true, this game was about *starting* with a very fun premise and making it even better.
