For what it's worth (little, as of April 10), 77m Americans voted for the traitorous fraud. 74m voted for the hollow, vacuous (but still infinitely more sensible) policy-averse democratic candidate, and 85m didn't even vote. America's civic illness goes deep beyond Trumpism.

The 85m non-voters is a big problem. Voter apathy, or disillusion, to be more charitable, is the enabler for so many malevolent political movements. We suffered in the UK from the same problem in the Brexit referendum.

It's worse than Brexit. As a UK-born resident in the US for 24y, raising 5 children across 3 states, the lack of civics/philosophy/politics education in public education is dire, and it's hard to conclude that's based on budgetary issues, versus design. Consumerism/apathy are not the only causes.

If only that were true. Brexit is more easily reversed than the consequences of the last 3 mo. The reasons are too complex for the char. limit here, but the US has shattered its own post-war dominance in 12 weeks. There's a loud wake-up call coming here in the US and few Americans know it, or why.
