The difference is Crawfords campaign has a small donors base she can rely on. She isn't getting as much money from wealthy donors as Schimel is. Where is the working class donations for Schimel? His campaign is almost entirely financed by a small group of very wealthy people.

You do realize we had the most gerrymandered maps in the nation after 2011, right? How is it that the state is roughly 50/50 yet Republicans controlled almost 2/3 of the state legislative seats? A great example was when Obama and Baldwin won by 7 and 6, yet Republicans won 61 out of 99 seats.

Yes, thanks to Governor Tony Evers, we now have much fairer district maps for the State Legislature. Also, it remains true that the maps were heavily gerrymandered in the Republican Party’s favor. Thirdly, Wisconsin has long been a swing state. It’s not an easy binary, 1/0, as you represent.

Wisconsin does NOT have the most gerrymandered maps. That is a myth WI Dems perpetuate. In fact compare the 2010 maps to 2012, there is very little difference.

Yeah, and she's had like 5 million+ in other individual contributions. Her campaign is more balanced than Schimel's is. He's worried because Musk is so much more in the public eye. Republicans don't effectively messenge their voters to donate to them, but I suppose they don't care to donate anyways.

Crawford is still getting millions from California millionaires. Schimel has no choice but to accept out of state donations as well. In 2023, Dan Kelly refused to, and that cost him the election.

By the way, Kelly lost by 11 points with high turnout. He got 818,000 votes. It's not like he didn't get any votes. He got as nearly as many votes as any conservative justice had previously gotten, and increased his vote total from 2020 where he also lost by 11 points. He just got beat.

This is the way Republicans play the game, flooding a race with millions of dollars courtesy of the world's richest man—who happens to have business before the Wisconsin Supreme Court he's trying to buy with a few million dollars. After you buy a presidency, one must think everything is for sale.
