Same. I’m only still on there as I had been following a number of people posting about Palestine. And some movie related things. I still seem to get more info about Palestine there than I do here.

I'm a typical GenXer who is great at some tech stuff (like I just taught a 13-year-old how to torrent movies) and really bad at others (if a platform has multiple servers like Mastodon I am overwhelmed). So it's half true.

I will say at least using google as a last resort search has gotten me to see better ways to get to information (e.g. sometimes Wikipedia or a database first instead of DDG first.)

But yeah once or twice a day it's resorting to Google just because they've got the images/video/rights to reddit.

No sorry, I meant reverse image search. You know, like the google app has that little camera and if you click on that you can choose a photo in your library and google will try to find what it is or a similar thing or person. Very handy when you're a collector
