I'm never gonna tell a fledgling artist I don't like their work (if they want a critique on something specific, that's a different thing) because I want them to trust their own instincts more than my take. Developing that eye, with their own tastes and intention, is more important than my feedback.

It warms my heart seeing even established creators go through this growth as well. ☺️
But offering new ways to look at things gives them options they choose from.
