I was like, “Aren’t Philadelphia sports fans like this all the time though?” and then it hit me all of a sudden how completely beautiful it is to always be acting like your team just won the super bowl

it’s a quality i found exasperating and annoying growing up in the city, but that gives me a real sense of camaraderie with my hometown now that i’m not there
to be fair, it was snowballs that got thrown at santa claus, it was another team’s player who got drafted but refused to join the team who got the batteries thrown at him from a couple of phillies fans lol
