The BEAD program Klein whined about this week took longer, in part, because Congress demanded the FCC completely remap state broadband access across every county in America after the GOP and telecom industry fought against it for decades

based on interviews he doesn't appear to understand that ARPA has been delivering a lot of the efficient abundance he claims to be looking for, especially on rural broadband

My job is research strategy in tech.

So, it’s hard to go a week where I don’t have encounter him and his bros saying something dumb about things I do on a day to day basis

The context is different, but I’m a professional researcher. I read a lot. And from many related fields. Haha.

I once got interviewed by a very prominent pundit who was so wildly unprepared that the episode ended up being unreleasable. Guy hadn’t read literally a single piece of anything and thought he could wing it/talk out his ass.

Seriously this is the most profound indictment of his work I can think of. To miss this, he would have had to ask exactly zero people in broadband policy.

Which does not give me any confidence that the rest of his book is not pulled, fully formed, from his ass.
