Endangered, Forest Shuffle, SETI, Foundations of Metropolis,Rebirth, Black Orchestra, Castle Combo. Annoyed that the latter got no Canadian Distribution for its first print run.
dropolter, wilmot's warehouse, and arcs--i do really enjoy sharing the light/silly stuff! but so far all of my arcs games have involved teaching new players and i'm really itching to play my first campaign
we played Watergate! I got it after reading your review recently, and it was a bit of a risk as my partner is not really fond of board games, but it paid off! It's so immersive, we both really liked it, and are looking forward to more sessions of proving we are/aren't crooks.
Excellent! I look forward to reading it. I've been very curious about Dead Cells, although if I do eventually scoop it up I'll probably wait for a reprint of the collector's edition because dual-layer boards make everything much nicer.
Andor Family Fantasy with the Danger in the Shadows expansion - one of only a few expansions that I feel make the game what it should have been in the first place, and more Dragon's Down - highs and lows of an "old-school" game, but the highs are really high.
Germany, and I had no idea what was happening. It was my first game, and I didn't have as good a grip on the rules as I thought. I barely stayed in the game; each turn, I hung on with a fingernail grip.
But now I'm all ruled up and we're going to try Scotland, 3P.
Cloudspire with a friend over TTS, setting up Arydia to play (trying to figure out if I want to play true solo or solo with two characters), bought That Time You Killed Me and Search for the Lost Species at B&N sale, and finally played The Gods Will Have Blood: https://spacebiff.com/2023/07/12/the-gods-will-have-blood/
Yeah - it was a good time. I was worried Gandhi might be a bit overwhelming, but I found it easier to parse than Fire in the Lake, and I loved how the Unity and Restraint tracks shaped faction interactions and the decision space.
