I really don't get the direction Badenoch is going with all this anti-net zero stuff.

No evidence or facts back her. Every single piece of data backs the government and their approach.

Every householder who has an EV, or Solar & Battery, or HeatPump, is already investing in their own ‘nett zero’, and is already reaping the benefits in massively reduced energy costs, and they will not understand or vote for any politician who wants to deny those benefits to everyone else.

I saw the Sky interview with Tice on this but it’s beyond the realm of scepticism and full on denial that man-made carbon emissions have anything to do with Climate Change (something we’ve seen before but bonkers nonetheless).

OK but at this point following Farage’s talking points is a guaranteed way of finishing off the Tory party. Only possible hope is to distinguish from Reform in some way. (I think the simple reason is that Badenoch is very bad at politics and can’t see that).

They're against the slogan "Net Zero" more than they're agains the objectives of it. Far easier to grift against a slogan and pretend it is something it isn't to your dimwitted disciples, than to explain exactly what "Net Zero" is and why people should object.

Is branding important here? HS2 was about capacity, and failed as it was branded for speed. Net Zero could fail as it's branded for greens when the benefit for voters is stable/lower bills.
