Anyone who opposes him is now under threat. (1) He incites violence against someone. (2) Removes security from his targets. (3) Pardons those who commit violence against the targets. This is precisely how it works under authoritarian regimes. Are we different?

Well, 2 have already been re-arrested. They told us the guns were coming from Mexico, which doesn’t produce guns. It looks like they’re coming from Trump supporters right there in Washington DC because that’s what they were arrested for carrying guns hours after they got out of jail.
