Thank you for this. My generation needs to stay educated. It seems that we grew too comfortable with the rights we were handed, and it's definitely our time to carry the torch now. I cannot imagine the fear this current climate brings to older folks who worked to make people like me grow up safe.

I think everyone would have preferred that your generation not HAVE to do decades of fighting to regain or retain rights you already had ... but yes, that is the reality now.

Without the fight, the heterosexual patriarchy (and their women) will drive things back to the 1800s.

I was just having conversation with another person our age and we are wondering when the younger generation is going to get this rebellious and this angry, like in an uncomfortable way like it should be. All of us have been too complacent for too long.

Well that's the thing. This younger generation was bourn after 9/11. Their whole life has been trauma. They don't know anything else. We have to TEACH them. Show them there's a better world worth fighting for.
