No you can't. It was a horrible situation. Poor Czechs. The public was avidly anti-war, but, despite that, he was already building up our war machine & increased the defence budget to 9% of GDP. Britain (& much of Europe) was in such a bad place militarily, had we gone to war then, we'd have lost

Chamberlain wasn't the fool he made himself look. He knew that Hitler was lying what he did was buy us an extra year in which to re-arm as successive Tory governments had run out forces down to virtually nothing.
