I’ve gotta know - has anyone ever actually used the drawer at the bottom of their oven as a warming spot for food like they intend? We always use it for storage.

Oh yea it's just always hot as heck in there, i think the oven heat thingy is down there. 99% of its use is really just for garlic bread tho. I think we put some chicken in there once.
Honestly, most of the time the top rack is available and I’m just using that. If I gotta use more of the oven they just come out, but I actually don’t use the oven a whole lot. I mostly do a lot of sautéing and that sort of thing on the stovetop
Added bonus - I *think* having the residual heat of a cast iron sitting in the oven can help even out the temps slightly of a finicky oven. I’ve heard this but never saw clear data one way or another on it.
At this point surely it’s just storage right? Like if I’m baking and need pans cool I take em out before I begin to preheat, otherwise it’s extra heat when you go in to roast on a warmed pan?
That’s us too - and yet I see some photos that the manufacturers intend for you to cram a whole ass turkey in there to keep it warm while you work on other stuff.
W a t. Nah I could fit a chicken in mine maybe but I feel like proper even warming drawers are fancy over features and mine is decidedly not fancy so will remain storage 😂 we are in the right Sides
