Shogun is nearly unmissable TV. Not quite at Watchmen levels of brilliance, but still confident enough in its commitment to build a world and cast you never tired of being immersed in and surprised by.

Shogun is very good but personally found Fargo more fun, with dark humour and some terrific performances in each series. They stand alone, so order doesn’t matter. Season 5 was particularly good.

I'd go Shogun. Fargo is clever, absurd and tense, pulls off the tone of the film well. I've only just started Hacks so can't say much and I find the idea of Responder too stressful so can't help there.

Shogun is like getting into a warm bath. A bloody, terrifying, complex and sumptuous warm bath.

Shogun was deservedly the show of the year for 2024 (and will be returning for a second series, so worth investing the time). the last season of Fargo was arguably the best since the first, thoroughly enjoyed that too.

Hacks is maybe slow to start but as good as it gets for tv comedy.

Fargo you have to be selective about seasons. No continuity so fine to start with the best (3 or 5?)

Hacks is a treat, funny, classy, sharp, although not seen season 3. Enjoy.
Shogun is a classic, proper masterpiece TV.
The Responder is tough, but has real heart.
Have not seen the last two seasons of Fargo, but always like them as "Crime does NOT pay in the end" stories.
