HUGE throw, but a tremendous adjustment by Watson. Spacing was off on the initial routes, so he peeled vertically. He keeps pushing vertically here, then works over to the ball and makes a spectacular catch.

I don't see how he gets blown up immediately. This shot is right after Love throws it and the safety is as deep as Watson. Hard to believe he was driving down on Kraft, pivoted with the throw and was then even with Watson. Anybetyer camera angle?
No, because I reject the notion that it was double-coverage. I hate doing screenshot analysis, but I'll engage in it for a second because it makes sense. This is a shot right before Love throws. That safety is coming down to pick up Kraft, which leaves that avenue open over the top for Watson.
When I saw it in real time I thought it was a foolish decision and a great play by Watson but I see the point on the second defender being out of the play. Thanks for the explanation
