I haven’t used the program, but I left a comment opposing the elimination. I’m a homeowner in the city and strongly support any coordinated affordable housing programs.

I called Whitburn's office and was told Foster is the only one who's expressed an earnest desire to repeal the ADU law and not Whitburn. I should have pressed further of why then all of the councilmembers voted to bring repeal up for discussion in the first place cause I'm still unclear on that.

I believe it came up because the program repeal was attached to another provision. But because the repeal wasn't noticed to the public, they now have to re-vote on it. And they separated the two items.
