The USTA's choice to turn the U.S. Open mixed doubles draw into an exhibition sideshow the week before the main draw begins is absolutely infuriating and demeaning to tennis players and fans alike. 🎾

The current tennis establishments have made so many questionable decisions.
I love Toronto 1000s too. But it won’t be as compelling once they move to the new 13 days format. I likely won’t be attending in person as much as in the past.
Toronto day sessions used to be such a boon that I took many days off work to go.
First saw the 2-match format in Montreal when I went there for the first time in 2019. Thought it was highway robbery. Sad to see Toronto copying them…
