I’ve been using Nerivio for nearly 2 months for chronic migraine. It was my doc’s recommendation.
I think it’s actually helped(!!). I tolerated higher settings the more I used it - I started around 20% but am up to 45% now. The cost is painful though 😳

Oh this gives me hope! Thank you! I was able to get it up to 17% tonight. Progress! I’ve only used it 3 times, so I’m trying not to judge it too hard. I so badly want this to work.

Ah, been there, I understand totally. Especially earlier on, I noticed the sensations would decrease over the course of a single treatment too, so I would then edge up the intensity within that treatment. Best of luck 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Forgot to say: I’ve found the accompanying breathing/relaxation exercises (in GIER up on the app) really complementary to the treatment. These have helped too.

I haven’t tried nerivio, so I don’t have a helpful comparison there. I’ve been using Cefaly for a few years though so I can describe my experience with that, if it’s helpful. To me Cefaly feels more tingly and buzzy, than painful, as long as the electrode is not falling off. 1/

I’ve gotten used to it over time, so it feels less intense now even at the highest setting than it did the first time. It usually doesn’t stop or prevent a migraine on its own, for me, but it does usually interrupt the worst of the pain when I have it on, which is a relief. Enough time for meds etc.

My neurologist office had a Cefaly they let me come in and try, before I invested in it - maybe yours does too?

I couldn’t tolerate Nerivio. Hurt and didn’t do much, if anything. I have found Cefaly works much better for me. Noticeable improvement in acute mode.

I use both and will echo what Beth said, the Cefaly is effective, even at the lowest setting, and doesn't have to be painful to be effective. I also have built up tolerance to the Nerivio the longer I use it, it took at least a few months to get to 40%

Mostly did anyone find that one worked better than the other? Was having the cefaly on your forehead painful if nurivio on your arm was?

I’m almost 3 years into the never ending migraine, I’m exhausted, and I so badly wanted a neuromodulation device to work (as I’ve tried every med there is)

Cefaly worked better for me. The intensity is adjustable like Nerivio. It's a buzzy sensation like a mini TENS device (which it essentially is). I don't ever use it on full strength and have been told that's okay.

Good to know the Cefaly worked better! I might give it a try. At least they have a trial window so it doesn’t work I can return it.
