Makes sense. One image generator site had to go through a lawsuit that resulted in them releasing artist information of everyone they scrapped. Which is now setting them up for additional lawsuits, since those artists didn't give them permission to use their art for training the models.
I think it will help if it goes like GDPR, which most sites adapted to. AI is out of the bag, but the tech was never the real issue. The scamming, disinfo potential, monetization of datasets that weren't ethically obtained, and prompters' sense of ownership of AI output are.
