MSNBC is a Comcast property, and ultimately serves the purposes of Comcast. While MSNBC advertises itself as progressive, they arguably have done as much to normalize Trump as anybody, basically dedicating themselves to 24x7 coverage of Trump and little else for the past 15 years.

[Opinion, w/respect] Very similar approach here, not to the point of none though. The obvious play with Elon as a guest host was telling at the time as to the direction of Comcast. The timing[just prior to Propublica's tax reporting] amplified the point.

Spot on but kinda late and kinda irrelevant and way beneath SNL standards for going after the big issues, I would agree with you completely, it is evidence of the media being manipulated by Trump because the writers at SNL appeared to be performing for only one audience member, Trump. I found it to be condescending and a bit boot licking that they would mock their own journalists instead of doing a skit about the fox news host that can't hold his liquor breezing through confirmation hearings. Not funny enough for an opening and not even remotely close the political punch I need.

[With apologies, and respect] Comcast's[NBC News, NBC crossovers, multiple weak anchors] has done more to 'normalize' Trumpism, given their 'tag' as left-leaning than other cable TV news platforms. The 'faces of MSNBC' Scarborough and Mika were leveraged[love-nesting homewreckers]that Trump used.

Actually, we don't need them. There are plenty of independent journalists who are not just interviewing other journalists and communally fretting. They are investigating news stories. Most are currently on podcasts and the internet.
