From Bon Jovi, Keanu Reeves, Robin Williams, and a few others. There are a small number who do these things for the right reasons. No photo shoots or publicity, or accolade. They do it from the heart.
I agree… but in a conversation about wealthy people giving charitably, don’t get mad at a ball player accepting money from a billionaire to be a ball player.
The person you should be mad at is Steve Cohen, not Juan Soto.
At the same time we celebrate the Bon Jovi generosity in feeding the hungry, let us recall that the wealth of a century ago gave us Libraries, Art Museums and Foundations that give millions in grants each year to artists and public events. In perpetuity.
I had read a story of Bon Jovi , at a soup kitchen helping out for a holiday meal & apparently he has done so before,no press to say look at me , just a humble man who gives back to help his fellow man.Too bad the Billionaire Bunch wouldn’t take a page from this Man’s note book & do the same.
JBJ and his wife Dorothea do a lot to help combat hunger and homelessness in their community. I wish other people with the means would follow their example in other regions.
