The Founding Myth is a great book to read if you want to strengthen your defense of the separation argument. It’s a great analysis of Constitutional principles stood up against religious beliefs.
I cannot understand this, I went to a convent school, we had lay teachers too, but my science, reproduction & civics teachers were nuns. This was Ireland in the 70's. Church & State should be & have to be separate, history proves this, do not make the same mistakes again.
It would be nice if there was a way to keep capitalism/money separated from both. I'm not anti-capitalist or anything, but churches and politics are supposed to be about the people, not the profits
Although Canadian, I lived in GA for a while and attended a funeral at a Methodist church. I was shocked to see an American flag on the altar. It is just not something we do here in Canada. So wrong.
kind of weird to put science on side of the government, totally disconnected from religion, as if both sides can't improve from scientific development.
Friends in red states or friends in red areas of blue states—what help can we give you? I live in a blue district in a blue state so my reps in congress are on board with stopping what is going on. We need to get your reps on board. What obstacles do you see in your way to making contact with them?
