After Discovery I started Picard, but after a few episodes I decided to pause it and watch TNG to understand the context. Then I wanted to know more, so I watched DS9 and VOY before finishing Picard. In the meantime, I watched a few episodes of TOS and decided to finish it before starting SNW :)

For the 2nd question: some things were awkward for me due to time (some sexist bits in TOS) or cultural differences (the obsession with baseball and American history in a Post-Earth future society), but at the same time it was really progressive and always celebrated diversity.

I loved the optimistic scifi spirit of the whole series ("humankind should aim to this") and I always wanted (and still want) to learn more about the universe where these stories happen.
