What pisses me right off about Ben's take here is how he proclaims the importance of his ilk (directors, actors, writers) while framing other creative labor roles as inherently disposable (VFX, production art).

I do tend to like smaller studios as the people working in them get more fair and equally distributed pay, but his mindset is wrong. I'd like to see any major BB film without over 1000 people working on it. he's nuts.
It says a lot about the priorities of people like Ben that they have optimism for cost-savings and speed, but zero sentiment for the lost jobs and exploitation of work.
