You are correct, I did forget that. And, yes, that series did have everything. When I became an umpire, I understood why Barnett made the call that he did. Until then, I had no clue who had the "right-of-way" on such plays.

1/ The sad part? He never made it back to the World Series after his rookie year. He also had a scary moment during the 1975 World Series. In game six at Fenway, he ran into the centerfield wall while chasing a fly ball & crumpled to the ground. He said that he couldn't feel his legs for a minute;

I remember Sports Illustrated showing their rookie stats with legendary hall of fame players
rookie stats and they both blew them away.
