June 18, 1975 Fred Lynn went 5/6 with 3HR’s, a triple, and a single. He had 10 RBI’s and 16 total bases, the 16 total bases is still the Red Sox record. He went on to win the Rookie of the Year, the MVP, and a Gold Glove. Helping to lead the Sox to the WS. 1st player to win MVP in their rookie year.

I've been a Reds fan since 1974 and I still believe that '75 Series was the best ever played.
He had the greatest rookie year in MLB history, in my opinion.
Same year rookie on the Sox.
I remember Sports Illustrated showing their rookie stats with legendary hall of fame players
rookie stats and they both blew them away.
