That said, I liked Inni but also thought it could do with some tightening and polishing of the plot. If you still like the idea but not the execution, maybe you could do a reboot / spiritual successor?

I expect that most of the replies are going to be in favour of giving this book a new life. The real point here is my internal struggle of perpetuating something that doesn't bring me joy just for the sake of it vs trying to overcome the trauma and give it another shot in order to somehow redeem it.

Non penso ci sia una risposta giusta o sbagliata a questa situazione, ma se lavorare a questo progetto non ti diverte ma lo senti solo come un obbligo, allora forse è meglio chiuderlo. Ci sono altri modi per riflettere su un trauma altrettanto validi, costruttivi, e forse meno sofferti.

My two cents: I bought it in Italian at a bookstore in Termini when I was at a very low point in my life, and it genuinely helped me a lot. Like Inni I was also feeling very directionless... and I thought his journey was beautiful. I say translate it! Maybe it will help someone like it helped me :3
