Uh, those who supported Sanders gave him money to run in 2016--they didn't need to get anyone's permission. And even if it was possible for him to "siphon off" votes from Clinton--and it isn't--it didn't happen anyway. So why are you so upset about entirely made-up things?

The DNC gave him money & he certainly DID siphon votes away from Clinton - remember him @ a dinner in RUSSI?. If he'd had to raise his own campaign $, we'd never have heard of him, & he'd still be languishing in VT & STILL NOT GETTING ANYTHING DONE BECAUSE HE'S SO FUCKING UNPLEASANT TO WORK WITH.

What are you talking about? 85% of Bernie primary voters voted for Clinton in 2016. That percentage was higher than Clinton primary voters who voted for Obama in 2008.

The various estimates of Sanders voters who went on to vote for Clinton in the general range from just a hair under 75% to 86%--overwhelming, by every estimates, and she would have lost the popular vote quite badly without them.

The DNC gave Sanders jack-shit; he raised his money from supporters, most in small-dollar donations. I don't know who RUSSI is, so can't comment on any dinner but whatever you're on about with that, it isn't relevant here. Sanders wasn't on the ballot; he can't "siphon votes" from Clinton.
