The problem with the industry is how the price that the produce makes is controlled by non restricted too powerful supermarkets. There is no margin to invest.

What does this even mean? greenhouses are replaced part by part over their lifetime, so the structure is essentially new compared to when it was first built -
what point do you think you are making and do you really have any understanding of what you are saying? Horticulture is constantly evolving in the uk, like any industry operating at the forefront - it doesn't need some imbecile with no understanding hopping on to make a political statement.
Don't worry, in a couple of decades Great Britain's climate will be like Spanish nowadays, and then your problem will be where to cast cheap workforce to harvest😉
