Did you know that there are more than 21,000 people in Goldstein with a HELP or HECS debt? In an ongoing housing crisis, we need to do more to keep young people living and thriving in our community. So I’ll continue to work to take HELP debts off eligibility tests for mortgages.

HECS is a higher ed loan that has to repaid as a progressive % of income as you enter the work force. It’s paid through payroll and tax. Unavoidable.
