Netflix has gone, so has Amazon and Audible. I will try Kobo in place of Audible, it's a Canadian co I think. Library is good too.
You can come off coke :) Bundaberg Brewed Drinks is a good goto for soft drink or make your own lemonade. Shop Aldi if you can or local outlets.
All my streaming went a couple of weeks ago.
Uninstalled Spotify today bc they're hosting Tates podcasts.
Keeping my gaming though...Too many years invested.
I think the labelling is not helpful either. You can see made in Aus with minimum 20% of ingredients but it doesn’t tell you where the remaining 80% come from. And made in Australia doesn’t equate with 100% Australian owned unless specified. So yes, it’s still confusing.
Yep. I use it to store and read ebooks - not for mp3s, but all the e-reader versions I can think of. I love it. Transfers files to my phone and keeps track, also - the days of running out of book in a doc's waiting room are behind me!
Elons X is a good place to start like I have, if your thinking of buying an electric car make sure it's not a Tesla, I'm open for more recommendations of American companies and products to boycott, hit them where it hurts most, their profits and share prices
The big servos are owned by American companies, the outlet is just a franchise who pays a percentage of sales and rent to their the Yankee landlords, just like Macca's KFC and Hungry Jacks, independents dont
Libro is a great alternative to audible and you can support your favourite local bookshop while using it. Have linked to the site here https://libro.fm/
Ilwe are big Pepsi max drinkers. I've spent this morning looking for an alternative. Schweppes no sugar soft drinks for this household will do. They don't have anything that's in par with Pepsi max, but I can change.
Many of these things are just what we’re accustomed to. I was cranky about having to alter my diet recently, but I found I was used to different milk pretty quickly.
I just checked, Kirk’s is owned by Coca Cola now, so that’s disappointing.

We could certainly cancel AUKUS and not notice the difference, let’s do it.

And I won’t fly there, which I was hoping to do before the election result.
Jeans, now that's a hard one.

I’m not a big consumer of stuff, but a planned trip to the US is cancelled, probably forever now.
I don’t think it will be easy for most of us to give up many US products, but we can all start with one.
Have you ever spotted a local version of those products? Might be an opening in the market.
